RUD India’s Mineral Feeder is a heavy duty feeder engineered for dependable bulk material handling in demanding industrial environments. Designed for continuous operation, this robust system moves large volumes of limestone, shale, gypsum and similar materials directly from trucks, dumpers or front-end loaders. With a compact layout and low-maintenance design, the Mineral Feeder delivers high throughput and long service life.
Tell us your material type, feed rate and layout constraints. Our application engineers will configure a Mineral Feeder solution that meets your throughput targets and space requirements. With RUD India’s turn-key approach, you get detailed drawings, factory testing and on-site support for a smooth startup.
A mineral feeder is a heavy duty feeder built to receive bulk material directly from trucks, dumpers, or front-end loaders and move it into a processing line at a controlled, consistent rate. What sets it apart is the belt-and-chain pan design. A steel-barred belt works alongside a chain pan to absorb impact loads that would wreck a standard conveyor fast. The drive chain in RUD India's design sits outside the loading zone entirely, so the pan takes the punishment at impact points without putting strain on the chain itself.
Mining is the most obvious one. Material coming off a blast site or out of a dump truck is heavy, irregular, and rough on equipment. Cement plants are another big user. Limestone, shale, and gypsum all go through mineral feeders before reaching crushers or kilns. Quarrying operations, aggregate processing, and construction material plants rely on them too. Basically, any site where bulk raw material arrives in large, unpredictable volumes and needs to be fed into downstream equipment at a steady pace is a candidate. RUD India supplies to all of these, with configurations built around each site's material and layout.
A standard conveyor is designed for relatively consistent loads moving at a set pace. A heavy duty feeder is built for the moment material first hits the system, which is where the real punishment happens. Dump trucks and front-end loaders don't deposit material gently. RUD India's mineral feeder handles rocks up to 250mm and absorbs that initial impact through its reinforced pan and outboard chain setup. The chain never sits in the impact zone. Standard conveyors don't account for that, which is why they deteriorate quickly when used as a direct-feed solution at a raw material intake point.
Start with the material itself. Size, sharpness, moisture content, and temperature all influence which equipment will actually hold up. Then look at how the material arrives and at what rate. A site receiving full dumper loads needs something that can absorb impact, not just move a steady flow. Layout matters too. RUD India's mineral feeder comes in inclined and horizontal profiles with a compact footprint, so it fits into tight spaces where a larger system wouldn't. Maintenance access, spare part availability, and the total cost over the equipment's lifespan are all worth factoring in before making a decision.
In mining, the main gain is reliability at the intake point. That's where most bulk material handling equipment fails first, because the loads are heavy and the material is abrasive. A mineral feeder absorbs that without passing the damage down to the drive components. In cement, consistent feed rate is what matters. Kilns and crushers perform better when they're not swinging between overload and starvation. RUD India's sealed bearing construction and heavy gauge steel fabrication mean these units keep running in dusty, high-wear environments without constant intervention, which is exactly what both industries need day to day.
